Lahore Qalandars have officially added Sri Lankan batting all-rounder Charith Asalanka to their roster for the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11. Asalanka joins the squad as a replacement for Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter Parvez Hossain Emon, who was ruled out of the tournament following a shoulder injury.
Here is the update on the Qalandars’ latest squad changes.
Charith Asalanka, a left-handed batter known for his stability in the middle order and useful off-spin, brings significant international experience to the Lahore side. His arrival is viewed as a strategic move to bolster the Qalandars’ batting lineup as the team navigates a challenging mid-season slump.

The departure of Parvez Hossain Emon comes after a ligament tear sustained during a collision with teammate Asif Ali in a recent match against Multan Sultans. Emon had appeared in three fixtures for the Qalandars this season before the injury ended his tournament run.

The defending champions are currently facing an uphill battle, sitting at the bottom of the points table with only two wins from five matches. The team is looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat against Peshawar Zalmi, where they were dismissed for under 100 runs.
Asalanka is expected to be available for selection immediately, starting with the high-stakes match against Quetta Gladiators scheduled for this evening, April 17, at the National Stadium in Karachi.
