More Woman Investigators To Be In Lahore Police
One thing we’re all out for is woman empowerment and gender equality. Lahore police have come a long way and have now decided to get a woman investigator for each of the 6 divisions of Lahore Police.
Woman Investigators? That is a YES!
Lahore police posted six woman officers as heads of the investigation wings at the city’s police stations. After doing so, in just 10 days, they got huge positive feedback from the public and thus, the higher-ups have given the go-ahead to make more appointments for lady police officers.
Who was put in charge? These POWERFUL Women!
Inspector Farhat was posted as in charge of the investigation at Wahdat Colony police station, Sub-Inspector Sadaf Rasheed at Quaid-i-Azam Industrial Area police station, SI Sumaira Nazir at Model Town police station, SI Ambrin Rehman at the Defence A police station, SI Shazia Kausar at Akbari Gate and SI Sonia Liaquat was posted in-charge investigation at the Racecourse police station.
This move is a positive sign to increase women’s representation in the police. They will definitely be bringing something new to the table with their thought and skill and we can’t wait to see whats next.

This can act as a game changer for society. The appointment of lady officers as heads of the investigation wings would inspire every child to want to come in a leadership role.
One of the things that the Lahore Police is trying to tackle is the representation of women. Out of the 84 police stations in the city, only one is a lady police station while from the total population of Lahore, 48% are women.
In looking toward changing the public image of the police, IGP Faisal Shahkar made this plan to encourage women police officers. The station culture will also change as women come to leadership roles, that too in a much more positive way.
Bringing in women to lead from the front and that too in the investigation wing is a big step. It involves a much risky business to look after as the crime rate in the city is high. Robberies and theft are something which the population has been in constant problem. But we are sure that with these women’s heads, things will take a turn for the best. They will prove that women too can get the job done.
