Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, has announced that the state is planning to impose a statewide curfew as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to exponentially increase.

The governor stated at a press conference that stricter restrictions will be necessary and they are looking into it

He added that the state plans to follow the studies and examples of state restrictions imposed by Germany, France, and Saudi Arabia.

“We are evaluating all of this, and what could be useful, and we have a lot of questions,” he said.

The state has over 1.1 million cases and 18,000 tragic deaths due to COVID-19
