Saudi Arabia has become a leading example in the handful list of countries that have been able to keep their cases of COVID-19 to a minimum during the ongoing second wave.
The Ministry of Health reported 238 new cases on Wednesday, raising the total number of cases in Saudi Arabia to 365,563.
Riyadh region recorded the highest number of cases with 86, followed by Eastern Province with 56 cases and Makkah with 38 cases. Madinah and Hail regions reported 11 cases each. Asir and Northern Borders reported 10 case while Jazan, Tabuk and Jouf regions reported a case each.
The Kingdom’s recovery rate is holding steady at 97.7 percent and the daily death counts have been in single digits for more than 3 weeks now.
In addition, there has been an announcement that a shortage in supply from the manufacturers is resulting in a delay in the vaccination drive.
