Saeed captivates foreign tourists with his fluent English and deep knowledge of the area’s rich history. Bin Saleh’s engaging tours have recently gone viral, showing him enthusiastically welcoming European visitors and sharing the cultural and historical legacy of his homeland.
He worked in Dhahran, where he interacted daily with Americans and Europeans, quickly learning English and developing an appreciation for cultural exchange. This experience not only improved his quality of life but also laid the foundation for a 30-year career, during which he worked with renowned companies, including Aramco and American Airlines. After years away, he returned to Najran to spend time with his family and contribute to his community.
Visitors are particularly drawn to the area’s archeological sites, including Al-Okhdood, which holds ruins and inscriptions from early civilizations. Najran’s historical significance, its bustling heritage markets, and ancient rock carvings make it a compelling destination for those interested in Middle Eastern history.
Although he no longer guides full-time, Saeed eagerly shares his knowledge, hoping to inspire Saudi youth to embrace the region’s heritage and promote it internationally. He believes young guides should immerse themselves in history and learn languages to authentically represent Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural landscape.
