On Wednesday, August 21, Madinah recorded a blistering 47°C, making it the hottest city in Saudi Arabia for the day.

Al-Qaisumah and Yanbu followed with temperatures of 46°C, while Al-Ula reached 45°C.

The extreme heat garnered significant attention on social media, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) confirming the high temperatures. However, the heat wasn’t the only concern. Madinah also experienced severe weather, including torrential rain, strong winds, and hail, adding to the intensity of the day.
