The Drone Racing World Cup, hosted in Riyadh, concluded with a historic milestone, earning Saudi a Guinness World Record for the largest edition of the event in terms of participating countries

Over 140 pilots from more than 50 nations competed in this thrilling spectacle, organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones in collaboration with the World Air Sports Federation and sponsored by Riyadh Season.

The final day of the competition saw 64 talented racers battling it out for the championship title

Korean pilot Minchan Kim emerged victorious, securing first place and a prize of SAR 375,000. French pilot Killian Rousseau claimed second place, winning SAR 285,000, while Joaquin Ybanez from the United States finished in third, taking home SAR 185,000.

The Riyadh edition was a groundbreaking achievement, not only for its record-breaking scale but also as the first Drone Racing World Cup held in the Middle East and North Africa since its inception in 2016!

The event underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to hosting world-class sporting events and fostering innovation in drone technology and aviation sports.
