The initiative aims to spotlight outstanding literary talent and transform successful works into cinematic adaptations.
On Saturday, Turki Al-Alshaikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced the launch on social media platform X.
The top prize is $100,000, with the winning novel adapted into a movie by the GEA. Second place offers $50,000 and a movie adaptation, while third place receives $30,000.
In addition to these top awards, the competition features Novel Track Awards, with $25,000 each for the best novels across various genres, including romance, thriller and mystery, comedy, action, fantasy, detective, horror, and historical fiction.
The competition also honors the best screenplay adapted from a literary work. The first-place winner will receive $100,000, the second-place winner $50,000, and the third-place winner $30,000.
An award of $100,000 will be given for the Best Translated Novel. Additionally, an Audience Award, determined by an electronic voting platform, will provide $30,000 to the winner.

The judging panel will consist of three novelists, three screenwriters, and three producers from the Arab world, supported by an initial screening committee.
To celebrate the winners, Saudi Arabia will host a grand ceremony, broadcasted on various platforms. The competition is open to original works in Arabic, welcoming participants of all nationalities and ages.
