With PIF as its backers, there’s perhaps no club in the English Premier League that is supported by Saudis as is Newcastle United.

Earlier this month, the Magpies spent a week in Riyadh for a warm-weather training camp that featured a match against the Saudi club Al-Hilal.

Newcastle loyalists were also in the city to watch them play live. A Newcastle fan who runs the popular Newcastlefanstv YouTube account posted a summary of his trip to Riyadh, and it’s actually spot on (well, for the most part, at least).

From how the people of the country respected tourists to getting gifts from two of Al-Hilal’s fans. He also spoke about how economical he found the place to be and shed light on what he termed “media scaring” in the West.
