24-Hour Curfew Lifted! Saudi Streets Jam-Packed Within One Hour

After a long Eid break stuck inside, the 24-hour lockdown has been lifted and Saudi cars wasted no time before hitting the streets.

Smashi TV, an Arabic business and tech news streaming platform shared snaps of busy streets which were all captured within the first hour of the restrictions lockdown being lifted.

Curfew times across The Kingdom, in all areas excluding Mecca, were revised from today.

Saudi is in a transition period, and in the current phase cars in all regions (excluding Mecca) are permitted to travel between 6am and 3pm.

Mosques across Saudi will reopen and workplace activity can resume from May 31 (excluding Mecca) while Friday prayers at Al Haram Al Sharif Mosque in Mecca are permitted to resume from May 31.

The most recent updates from SPA added that the curfew and ban on mosque visits in Mecca will be lifted on June 21.
