The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) announced a warning to WhatsApp users not to be fooled by scam messages saying you have won a prize. In a Twitter statement made on Sunday, CITC warned residents in the Kingdom not to click the links on messages that claim a cash prize has been won and will be transferred to you.
“We advise caution to those using Etisalat services to avoid replying to scam messages over whatsapp, which ask for the transfer of money to people you may know or that call on you for winning a prize…and we strongly advise that you don’t click on the links attached to these messages, and to report them through this email:
