Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed, son of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, will now add more to the supply chain of people demanded vegan food. In an article by The Caterer Middle East, it was announced that the Saudi prince plans to open a range of plant-based restaurants across the Middle Eastern region.
In the meantime, the move by Prince Khaled will also encourage other restaurateurs to develop vegan options in their menus.
Isn’t that just AMAZING news?
Prince Khaled’s plans will probably shake things up in the Middle East, seeing as he and his father have become influential figures in the GCC and the world. The West and Europe often sees more vegan options in restaurants, whereas it’s quite lacking in the Arab world.
It’s great to have the Prince recognise these demands from the people of the Gulf, despite not being the majority number of non-meat eaters.
Prince Khaled has partnered up with the Californian vegan chef,Matthew Kenney, to launch a vegan menu at the Beverley Hills Four Seasons Hotel.
With this in mind, they have also planned to launch several F&B concepts around the world soon.
The prince uploaded a photo announcing his latest entrepreneurship on Instagram, saying “Our goal is to open their guests/customers eyes’ to how beautiful and nutritious plant-based food really is.”
The initiative is an endearing one, and one that wants to introduce not just a healthy menu but an extensively varied and delicious one, prepared by a master chef.
Kudos to you, sirs.
