Needless to say, during the Hajj Mina does get pretty crowded. The tent city as it is called by some after the thousands of tents in the city will see its iconic tents get a major makeover. And, it may just make pilgrimage all the easier.

The new tents will be multistoried that will allow them to accommodate more worshippers than the previous ones.

The Saudi Gazette quoted the chairman of the Tuwafa establishment for pilgrims from Arab countries Abbas Qattan as saying that the ground floor of these tents will house workers and store food supplies while the upper floor will be dedicated for pilgrims’ accommodation.

The overall capacity of each tent is expected to increase by eight people.
