Monday has been pretty heated for the Kingdom, both in the literal and breaking news sense. After the Canadian Embassy in Riyadh issued a statement demanding for the release of specific people, it has been an evident show of interference within the Kingdom’s internal affairs.

And thus, here we are, writing this very piece to state something that should be the obvious:

Interference in other countries’ domestic decisions needs to be stopped

There are activists in every country supporting human rights, and the UN does a good job representing all, when other’s get involved with questionable motives, it makes things complicated. Implementing VISION 2030 is hard enough without other people interfering. If the Prime Ministers and ambassadors or over 200 countries interfered, we wouldn’t get anywhere.

Hence, the heavy involvement of Saudi and some of Canada’s social media users as response to the story. Even Canadians have responded to their country’s actions, agreeing with most Saudi sentiments online.

It should be of no surprise why Saudis have retorted to this with absolute surprise. Agreeing with Twitter user @AzizzAlsh’s statements, wherein he said…

“Every Saudi citizen has an access to schools and healthcare FREE, we have equal payment btw men and women, we have ZERO homeless people, plus We don’t pay taxes at all. After you solve those complicated issues in your country, you’re welcome to argue.
“

What’s angered people in Saudi the most, is that it’s easy to look at other countries and think you know what’s going on

So far, four major events came as a response to the Canadian Embassy’s tweet

• Saudi froze all new trade and investment transactions between Canada
• Considered the Canadian ambassador in Riyadh persona non grata and order the envoy to leave within 24 hours
• Recalled the Saudi envoy in Canada
• And announced reserving the right to take further action

It’s as simple as respecting and understanding that other countries simply have different matters, there’s issues everywhere but they differ. Trust should be given to those who govern a country and their internal decisions, and no one should use words that demand action onto another country.

Could you imagine that being done from a person to a person?

It’s completely immoral and shouldn’t even have to be discussed.
