The dusty metropolis has come a long way from its humble origins. It continues to grow so fast that it is so hard to keep up with the amazing places that keep propping up around the city. In case you are out of ideas of how to make the most of your weekend then you have come to the right place.
There are several of those traditional black mega-sized tents permanently located on the outskirts of town. Many of these come with plush amenities and serve delectable mandi at night.

Ideal especially for those who have seen it all in Riyadh as this is probably one place that many haven’t seen or even heard of. The King Fahd Cultural Center Planetarium is one of Riyadh’s best-kept secrets. So sit back on those reclining seats and look above as you get to see an amazing view of our solar system and beyond.

Yup, it’s right here in Saudi. Al Safi’s dairy farm is not exactly located in Riyadh but on a weekend one wouldn’t mind travelling outside the city. Especially if you are getting to visit an official a Guinness World Record holder, which is home to over 50,000 cows. You can even feed baby cows on this tour.

The historic heart of Riyadh is a maze and is best explored on foot. So make your way through its maze-like lanes and admire the beauty and historical and cultural value of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Okay, don’t stand too close to the edge as it is a straight drop down the cliff face. It can take up to an hour to reach and another hour to come back depending on where you begin your trip in Riyadh. If you have a drone then this is where you’d probably want to take it with you as those aerial drone shots will leave your followers on social media floored!

This is one of the very few places in the country where you can actually ski; so make the most of it. Take your family along and experience snowy winter in scorching hot Riyadh. And, if its winter then you can still enjoy it because winter and snow are supposed to go hand in hand? Try the snowmobile while you’re there – it’s pretty cool.

Run across walls, dunk and somersault your way through this place that is like a playground full of trampolines. It is incredibly fun and physically demanding as well, so you’ll burn those calories with a smile across your face.

Riyadh is home to amazing golf courses, so why not try it out this weekend. One golf course we do recommend is the Dirab Country & Golf Course, which is widely considered to be among the best in the Gulf.

And, how can you not do this if you are in Riyadh? Seeing Riyadh from the Sky Bridge at the Kingdom Centre is a sight that you’d probably want to witness again and again.
