That’s Sharjah to you, folks. Beachgoers, singles and everyone else looking to chill at Khor Fakkan can enjoy a public library at its beach, that has been placed there in commemoration of Sharjah’s UNESCO World Book Capital 2019 title.

The Sharjah Beach Library initiative seeks to nurture a culture of reading and raise community awareness about its importance.

A bunch of other events have taken place until April next year- but for now, everyone can enjoy the new facilities and ranges of books you can borrow and read while listening to the sound of the waves.
