The UAE is standing firmly with Lebanon during its humanitarian challenges, showcasing its commitment to supporting its people.

In Sharjah, the Expo Centre will host an aid collection drive on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This is part of the ongoing national relief campaign, ‘UAE Stands with Lebanon,’ launched under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Following a successful first event at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) on October 12 in Dubai, where 4,000 volunteers collected over 200 tonnes of essential supplies,  the campaign continues to gain momentum. The next collection at DEC will take place on Sunday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Contributors can also donate food parcels and shelter supplies at collection points, and in-kind donations are welcomed at Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) warehouses across the UAE. Cash donations can also be made through the ERC’s website and official accounts.

Since its launch on October 8, the initiative has raised over AED 110 million and gathered more than 450 tonnes of aid. The UAE government has pledged a humanitarian relief package of $100 million to support Lebanon.

This campaign highlights the UAE’s deep-rooted values of compassion and solidarity, demonstrating unwavering support for Lebanon in this critical time.
