The Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) is gearing up for a new chapter, with plans to relocate on Emirates Road, opposite Sharjah Mosque. His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, announced the move during the Direct Line program on Sharjah Radio and Television, marking the 2024 edition as the last at Expo Centre Sharjah.

The new location promises easier access, more space, and enhanced facilities to support the fair’s growing popularity. It reflects Sharjah’s vision of strengthening its global cultural presence while offering expanded programming like book launches, cultural exhibits, and author talks.

Since its start in 1982, SIBF has championed literacy and cultural exchange, becoming one of the Middle East’s largest literary events. With the relocation, SIBF 2024 is set to bring fresh energy and even greater opportunities for readers, writers, and artists worldwide.
