A UAE Royal Hand Delivered A Letter To Pope Francis To Thank Him For His Visit

Pope Francis’ visit to Abu Dhabi was a monumental moment, one marking a changing tides towards more tolerant and open attitudes.

And His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has thanked His Holiness Pope Francis.

He thanked him for the historic visit and his participation along with Dr. Ahmad el-Tayeb, Grand Imam Al Azhar Al Sharif, in the ”Human Fraternity Meeting” according to Wam.ae.

The letter was hand delivered by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation had an audience with Pope Francis and delivered the letter there

The pair also discussed the promotion of peace, tolerance and coexistence among peoples of the world

​Sheikh Abdulla confirmed the UAE is committed to spreading the message of tolerance
