With this ban, comes a few exceptions!

The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi exempted items such as reusable storage boxes, coolers, and items intended for medical use. Additionally, the ban is applicable to cups, lids, plates, beverage containers and food receptacles for immediate consumption. The ban works as an extension of Abu Dhabi’s single-use plastic policy and it supports aims of the Year of Sustainability. So, it’s time to be sustainable and stay away from the single-use styrofoam packaging!
