3 Dead And 32 Injured Due To Fire in a Hospital At Cairo’s Al-Matariya

At press time: Cairo‘s Al-Nour Al-Mohammadi hospital, in Al-Massala square, Radiology department caught on fire Wednesday night. The fire led to the death of 3 people and injured another 32.

The fire went out of control but was later set down by the fire department.

Based on preliminary investigation, the ministry of health announced that the fire broke out due to an electrical malfunction. It started at the radiology department, spreading to the rest of the hospital.

The Ministry added that some of the injured people are in critical conditions.

12 ambulances were rushed to the scene to support the hospital with the injured. 4 people were transferred to other hospitals to get needed medical treatment.
