The Norwegian also gave an emotional farewell interview with tears welling in his eyes. Meanwhile, United started searching for an interim coach to take over for the rest of this season.

 

Plenty of bosses including Zidane, Pochetino, Ten Hag, and Rodgers were also touted as potential successors

A whole host of managers were already linked with the United job, but there was a lot of buzz about who the ideal candidate would be.

However, no one mentioned about Ralf Rangnick, except sports presenter- Chris McHardy. And it turned out Ralf Rangnick agreed to become interim manager until end of season exactly like this clip on the radio.

On another note, the 63-year-old Ralf Rangnick, is leaving his job as head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow to take up the role. Rangnick has agreed a six-month deal until the end of May 2022 and will have a further two years in a consultancy role.
