MS TALKS EP 1

MS Talks 2.0 is a collaboration between Lovin Dubai and Novartis. The 10-episode series brings together experts and members of the community to bring awareness to Multiple Sclerosis.

MS Talks 2.0

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). Signs and symptoms vary widely between patients and while there’s no cure for MS, MS Talks 2.0 will attempt to give you a greater understanding of the disease by answering common questions and by debunking myths. The show, which is live in both video and podcast format, will also act as a support for patients with MS, with episodes that offer advice on how patients can break the news to their families, how to find acceptance, treatment and alternative therapies, and tips about how support networks can help patients throughout their journey.

MS Talks 2.0 Episode 1: A Story To Inspire: Breaking the MS News

Multiple sclerosis is a common disease with many sufferers, but it is still very much misunderstood.

In the first episode of MS Talks 2.0, Lovin Dubai spoke to Sultan Al Shamshi, who is an MS patient. He shared his journey; from recognizing the first symptoms to the challenges relating to his original diagnosis. Surprisingly, he shared the relief he felt when he was finally diagnosed, so he could begin learning more about the disease and start his treatment journey. The episode shares tips for people who may panic about their diagnosis, it explores the MS community in the UAE and how to break the news that you’ve been diagnosed with MS to your family.

A big thank you to Sultan for sharing his journey with us. You can listen here.
