The ambitious Dubai Canal project isn’t just another attraction in the city.
The extension of Deira Creek, linking Business Bay to the Arabian Gulf will have parks, hotels, restaurants and luxury housing but that’s yet to be built. But to ensure there’s easy movement to and fro, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, has ordered for marine transportation services to be provided. These will operate on the day following the official opening of Dubai Canal and will link with the marine transport services in Dubai Creek and the coastal areas of the city.
