Developer Emaar has just announced a ‘Chinatown’ shopping complex, which is expected to be the biggest in the Middle East.
The shopping and entertainment district will be located at Dubai Creek Harbour, and the announcement comes before the highly-anticipated arrival of Chinese President xi Jinping.
Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties, said the visit “is historic and will further strengthen UAE-China relations, underpinned by initiatives such as the UAE-China Week announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.”
