Dubai Police have solved the mystery of a maid’s murder.

What initially was suspected to be a natural death became a murder investigation for Dubai Police.

The woman was murdered in an Al Nadha villa. At the time of death, the maid’s sponsor requested an ambulance for her African maid. The woman claimed the maid had fainted, according to a Khaleej Times report.

The deceased’s body showed signs of a struggle

The African woman’s body revealed scratches and signs of assault and investigations revealed the maid’s death was caused by ‘multiple injuries on her head and other parts of the body,’ according to the report.

The sponsor denied any involvement in the death, telling authorities the woman hurt herself during the fall.

Neighbours in the area reported screams at the time of death.

An SMS message solved the crime

The husband of the suspect had allegedly sent an accidental message to his friend. In the message, the husband warned his wife not to hit his wife on more than one occasion.

The friend reported the message to the police and based on that evidence, the woman admitted the crime, according to reports.
