The media uproar that has surrounded the detention and deportation of Ellie Holman has been international.
Reports on UK tabloids, from Daily Mail to The Sun and even The Guardian, have reported that the Swedish national was detained and deported for ‘drinking a glass of wine’ on her flight.
However the Dubai Government released a statement on the matter– clarifying that Holman was trying to enter the UAE on an expired passport, and following her abuse of a Dubai immigration official, and illegal filming in a restricted area, she was detained and required to exit the country.
Holman is not registered with the Dubai Health Authority – they have no record of her presence in the UAE as a practitioner.
Holman would reportedly visit people’s homes and offer discounted injections of botox and lip fillers.
Sources have confirmed to Lovin Dubai that Holman would offer the services, and now the DHA has confirmed it has no record of Holman licenced to practice.
It’s unconfirmed how much she would have been making, or the size of her client list, but it could be in the tens of thousands given these prices.
