A independent regulator has said it will take between two and three years to determine the cause of the August 3rd Emirates crash landing in Dubai.
The Boeing 777-300 was flying from India to Dubai. The aircraft caught fire as it skidded across the Dubai airport runway. All 300 passengers and crew members managed to evacuate the plane safely, however one firefighter died during the rescue operation.
Prior to the completion of an investigation, precautionary measures to avoid a similar accident will be put into place, but an Emirates spokeswoman confirmed that a two to three year time frame is not unusual for an investigation into a report like this one.
