Sheikh Mohammed Vice President and Ruler of Dubai announced an award for Tolerance earlier this month which is intended to involve the younger generation and help the development of tolerant young Arab leaders.

Television presenter Lojain Omran, the awards ambassador, announced the new sign which aims to reaffirm the countries drive for tolerance…and it looks pretty cool to us.

A glimpse into my “family” #myDubai. Our cultures couldn’t be more different, but it doesn’t prevent us from loving each other. I don’t speak Arabic, my Emirati best friend’s grandma doesn’t speak English, but we always light up with joy when we see each other and manage to have a conversation – with our smiles, embraces and love. With my friends we discuss our traditions and our differences without trying to change each other and focus on what unites us: care and respect for older people, parents and the family (something that has sadly faded away in the Western societies), openness and non-judging attitude, kindness, generosity, big dreams, real friendship, sharing the good and the bad.
