Many 18-year-olds would dream of this day, but Suhana Khan’s moment in lights has been somewhat tarnished by internet trolls.

Suhana, the daughter of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, is the August cover star for Vogue India, a huge benchmark in a model’s career by any account.

And, ever the proud Dad, ‘King Khan’ of course tweeted in celebration, much to the fury of so many Twitter users.

He shared the exciting news with his 35 million followers

Bollywood has a reputation as a tight-knit industry that’s nearly impossible for new-comers to break through, and Suhana’s choice as the exclusive fashion magazine’s cover star cemented people’s opinions even further.

People in the industry were unimpressed
