The World Boxing Super Series Cruiserweight Final Will Be Held In Jeddah Saudi Arabia And EVERYONE’S Ready For It

It’s official, the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament will take place in Jeddah, here in Saudi Arabia. The finalists aren’t known yet as this point, because the quarterfinals is yet to complete, however it is confirmed that the event will take place in 2018. 

The organisers from the WBSS team announced on Tuesday that the May final of the eight-man tournament will happen in Saudi 

This was another result in the agreement being signed in London between WBSS organisers and the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia and Comosa AG. There are no specific dates as of yet, but they will be crowning their Muhammed Ali Trophy there. 

I am sure that Saudi Arabia will lay on a fitting finale to the first year of the WBSS and first award of the Muhammad Ali Trophy. We are proud to be working with the Saudi General Sports Authority on what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the 2018 sporting calendar in Jeddah.

What will happen before this tournament?

According to ESPN, the semifinals will take place in the second part of January in locations yet to be confirmed. Oleksandr Usyk, and Maries Briedis will fight to win the title in one semifinal.
