Hundereds of residents in the UAE witnessed the longest lunar eclipse of the century on Friday night, and boy it was a sight to behold!
The eclipse gave rise to a rare phenomenon of ‘blood moon’, when the moon changes hues from bright white to blood red as the sun’s rays are reflected through the earth’s atmosphere.
The phenomenon lasted for one hour, 42 minutes and 57 seconds, and many were moved by this magical celestial event taking to the ‘Gram and Twitter to post some STUNNING photos of blood moon in all its glory.
