Saudi Authorities Crack Down On Harassment: Yemeni Nationals Arrested For Violating Laws

After a video went viral of an Indonesian expat visiting a store in Madinah, four Yemeni residents were arrested.

The video showed the expat was a bit uncomfortable with the storekeeper’s mannerisms, leading authorities to crackdown an investigation, and arrest the individuals.


The video was posted on Social Media, to which a lot of people responded with concern. Saudi is very protective of the rights of its citizens, residents, and visitors, especially when it comes to violations of privacy and anti-harassment laws. Within just two hours of the report being made, authorities were able to arrest the storekeepers.
