Saudi’s First Founding Day Holiday Is Moments Away And Here’s All That’s Going Down

Saudi’s first ever Founding Day Holiday is just 2 days away and cities across the Kingdom are hosting traditional celebrations and shows to mark the iconic moment

The capital will host a number of events including those of over 3,500 performers! The show titled “The Beginning” will showcase pieces and performances exhibiting the history of the Kingdom over the past centuries, featuring many famous faces and artists.

Another theatrical musical performance, known as The “Founding Operetta,” will take place in Riyadh on Feb. 23

The performance will display six historical faces in the Kingdoms all the way from the founder, to contemporary icons. The event will take place  at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh Boulevard.

This Thursday, the skies of the capital will also be lit up with fireworks, drone shows, and much more to celebrate this first historical holiday

Residents can view the show from the intersection between King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road and Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz I Road, Riyadh.

The National Museum in Riyadh will also host a “Majlis” event from Tuesday to Thursday with interactive workshops and discussions all celebrating the culture and history of the Kingdom

Other regions in the Kingdom will each host several events all shedding light on the country’s traditional clothing, markets, coffee, an  even art exhibitions showcasing the beauty of the culture and history.
