ATTN: Saudi Airlines Has Diverted All Its Flights Away From The Gulf Of Oman And The Strait Of Hormuz
The US Federal Aviation Administration has barred all its flights from travelling in the Gulf of Oman and Strait of Hormuz area.
According to Al Arabiya English, many airlines including Saudi Arabia’s national carrier Saudi Airlines has diverted flights from the area.
The flights have been rerouted are now taking a longer route.
The other airlines that have changed their flight pathways include Emirates Airlines, Etihad Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas Airways and British Airways among a host of others.
Some of the flights rerouting to avoid the area of Iranian airspace over the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, where the FAA has prohibited US airlines to operate. Other carriers often follow FAA guidance as well. https://t.co/fIFUQlxBtf pic.twitter.com/WokkvxJzGz
