An All-Female Ambulance Has Now Been Launched By Saudi Women

Female doctors in the Kingdom launched an ambulance service with an all-female staff that will serve only women, reports Saudi Gazette. A team of female doctors at an Al Khobar government hospital in the East followed through with this initiative after the lift of the ban on women driving.

The ambulance will respond to distress calls from women in the Eastern Province

One of the initiative’s team members, Dr. Amal Al-Sulaibeekh, said the point was to channel their humanitarian efforts. Responding to women-only distress calls will allow these all-female staff ambulances to give women more privacy.
