Domestic Airfare Increases By Up To 555% As Eid Vacations Begin

Thought that only international travel gets expensive during Eid time, then guess what? Some local flights are going to cost you more than going abroad.

According to the Saudi Gazette, domestic airfares have gone up by almost 555% as Eid approaches.

They cite airfares from Dammam to Madinah going up to SAR 970 from the SAR 148 originally. Similarly, a flight from Dammam to Jeddah will make your wallet lighter by SAR 782 instead of SAR 228.

We compared those rates to some international flights and we found that on Eid day an international flight from Jeddah to Kuwait is costing just SAR 470.
