An Expat Threatened To Commit Suicide From A Telecommunications Tower In Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Police rescued a man attempting to jump from a telecommunications tower on Thursday.

Police managed to convince the Asian man in his 20s to abandon a suicide attempt, according to a social post by Abu Dhabi police.

Police were alerted to the incident at 2.30pm on Thursday, when the Abu Dhabi resident had managed to scale the tower and was threatening to jump from it.

Police rushed to the site and convinced the man to come down

Emergency services rushed to the site. According to police, the team quickly prevented the attempt, by reminding the man of the ‘importance of life’.
