You’re having a great time with a game and then… it happens. You become stuck at a level and can’t seem to advance come what may.

God alone knows how many times I’ve uninstalled Candy Crush only because I couldn’t reach the next level.

But complaining to the authorities about that? Well, that might be taking it too far.

A Dubai resident recently registered an official complaint about a “faulty” computer game to the authorities – but turns out he was not just very good at it.

A legit investigation was launched to solve this gamer’s dilemma

The Dubai gamer complained to the Consumer Protection Department claiming that the retailer had sold him a defective product after he was unable to reach the next level in the PlayStation game.

However, investigation revealed that he was simply not skilled enough.

Ouch!

“In the case of the video game, we gathered the necessary information and evidences related to the complaint with due consideration to the complainant’s concern that it could be a fake product,” Ahmad Al Zaabi, head of consumer protection at Dubai’s Department of Economic Development, told Gulf News.

“As our investigation was progressing we received a call from the complainant informing that he was able to move to the next level of the game, and he withdrew the complaint as the issue was not the product but lack of specific skills required to complete the game.”

Well, guess the frustration was indeed real!
