Nostalgic Footage Shows The Bustling Jebel Ali Port In The ’70s During The Late HH Sheikh Rashid’s Rule
The late HH Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the founder of modern Dubai, was a visionary- who saw great potential in the Jebel Ali Port that was carried out to this day.
Constructed in the late 1970s, the port was put in place to supplement the facilities at Port Rashid.
Jebel Ali was once a small village on a strip of desert beach, and today it’s one of the busiest ports in the world
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s father was the one who inaugurated the port that even eventually provoked international interest following Queen Elizabeth II’s visit.
In 1971, Jebel Ali was a small village on a strip of desert beach.
