A Dubai CEO Takes Part In The Gratitude Challenge By Sharing One Heartfelt Post A Day
It’s not very often you come across a busy CEO, handling many different entrepreneurial ventures in Dubai, to sit and take time to express gratitude.
If the pandemic has done anything, it has allowed us all more time to kick back and be thankful for our very existence, good health and everything else. Harvard Health even cites that gratitude is strongly and consistently linked with greater happiness.
It helps people feel more positive emotions, live out truly good experiences, improves health and so much more. It’s no wonder the founder of Solutions Leisure, Paul Evans, aka the man who brings us many of the city’s greatest nightlife experiences- has decided to practice it for 90 days straight!
We may want to take a page out of Paul Evans’ book (literally)

Social media makes it easy to fall into the trap of focusing on the things we don’t have, rather than the things we do. Rarely do we take the time to notice just how amazing everything we already have is.

In his series of daily gratitude posts, Evans thanked families, coworkers, friends, idols with a transparency that’s rarely seen on social media

He also thanked the UAE for being a great host in the decade of his stay here
“I am so proud to call this amazing country my home. There is no other country that gives you the platform and support to build something the way Dubai does.”

He even shared a story about his doting mother, who helped turn old Emirates airline blankets into fleeces for the children of war-torn Syria
With her initiative, and the help of volunteers, Emirates soon heard about it and five little fleeces became 50,000 blankets that were donated off to Syrian children.
Now that’s just incredible.

If you haven’t already, take up the gratitude journal in your own way – it’s necessary and at times, even life-changing
If a change in perception and mindset is what you need, take a notebook and jot down at least FIVE things you’re grateful for everyday. You’ll notice a HUGE difference.
Or take a page out of Paul Evans’ book and post it on the ‘gram, if you’re the social media savvy type. Either way, it won’t hurt.
If you’re interested, Paul Evans has also published a best-selling autobiography that tells the story of his coma, the epic journey of his survival and what led him to become of the UAE’s most successful restaurateurs.
