If you’ve ever visited a guest staying at a hotel in Dubai, chances are you’re familiar with the drill. Head to the reception, show your Emirates ID, state your guest’s name and room number and then you’re granted ‘access’ to visit them. And should you manage your way otherwise, you’ve been extremely lucky!
Talking about luck…these two tourists comfortably made their way to the rooftop pool of the Millennium Plaza Hotel on Sh Zayed Road for a cheeky dip MINUS the procedure. Watch how they did it.
Urban explorers Dan Andrew and Will Sanderson from Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
Under the name Urban Cowboys, the pair using courage (and a bit of cunning) explore various places they shouldn’t really be at. Their list includes a derelict synagogue in Liverpool, a crane in Italy and now the rooftop pool of this hotel.
They love the rush of being somewhere they shouldn’t. For them: the higher the risk, the greater the thrill (this applies mainly to countries where the penalties for trespassing are severe).
‘Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints’. These two surely love living on the edge, but the one thing they won’t do is break into places. They believe it defeats the objective of their experience.
They’ve been caught many times and have even had to run away a number of times. But they proudly say, ‘It’s the fear that drives us’.
