10 Things You’ll Miss About Dubai When Summer Comes Rolling In

Avatar

With summer fast approaching, the temperatures are already rising and the humidity is increasing.

But it’s not easy to let go of some of the things that will be missed once the sunny season is here.

Dubai is a popular city during the summer time but what most don’t get to see are the beautiful things the city has to offer when the weather is cool.

You’ll probably want to plan these 10 things into your schedule

And soon because you don’t really have much time!

10. Beaches

You didn’t think we’d talk about Dubai and the summertime without mentioning the beach, did you?

With so many hot-spots, Dubai’s beaches can become real hot-spots (pun intended) in summer.

Temperatures reach almost 50 degrees, making it almost impossible to sit under the sun for more than 10 minutes.

But if you are planning on hitting the beaches though, make sure you’re fully prepared and always hydrate people!

9. Outdoor spots

The cooler weather makes Dubai’s terraces and outdoor joints all the more worthwhile.

With fab views, cool temperatures and your loved ones, it really doesn’t get better than this.

And with summer coming, indoors are where we’ll all be…it was nice while it lasted!

8. Outdoor activities

When it’s too hot to walk outside, it’s definitely too hot to engage in any activities!

All you daredevils will have to find other ways to keep your blood pumping during the summer – perhaps try indoor activities like rock-climbing or hit the gym.

7. Food trucks

So many food trucks only means so many goodbyes and it’s a heartbreaker.

Good food definitely isn’t going away when summer comes, but the experience of walking up to a parked food truck will.

You can still get your meals via a drive-thru, but is it really the same…something else just makes food trucks a lot more fun!

6. Music concerts

Don’t worry, there are loads of music concerts happening in Dubai this summer, but probably only some will be held outdoors.

Winter saw lots of amazing outdoor concerts that added their own zing to each concert – you got to lay on the grass, sing your heart out to your favourite songs, chill back and just enjoy the good weather.

5. Global Village

One of the hardest goodbyes happened earlier in the month when Global Village announced that it was closing the door on its season this year.

The popular multi-cultural entertainment location opens up when the weather is cool because the whole venue is outdoors.

We can’t wait for next winter to see what the special place, which brought so many happiness to Dubai’s residents, has in store!

4. Desert safari

For anyone that was lucky enough to enjoy a desert safari this winter, you got lucky!

There’s something extremely special about grabbing your friends, some games, and some food to bbq to chill far from the buzzing city.

And it’s even better at night with just good vibes and the stars shining from above, desert camps are truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

3. Sightseeing

You’ll still get to enjoy the beautiful touristic spots around Dubai, but maybe this time around with lots of sunscreen and a head-cap, especially during the day.

So prepare yourself because it’s going to be a hot one!

2. Barasti

Ahh Barasti…an iconic Dubai staple for lounges, this spot holds a special place in the hearts of residents.

The popular outdoor lounge overlooks the Burj al Arab and the Marina sky-scrappers and creates the ultimate views on views!

1. Yacht parties

With just a few more weeks of good weather left, embarking on a yacht and waving good-bye to winter is the perfect send off gesture!

And you’re just in luck, Lovin Dubai is hosting a fun-filled brunch on the world’s largest commercial boat for the next two weeks.

The brunch sets sail on Saturday April 21 and 28, get it booked in now!

And there’s one happening THIS Saturday and is perfect to pencil into your schedule!

So welcome summer with some fun yacht times and tan lines!

Dear good weather, it’s not a goodbye…it’s a see you later!
