24 Vehicles Have Been Seized As Drivers Were Performing Dangerous Stunts In Al Ruwayyah

Reckless driving in the UAE is absolutely prohibited. Drivers of all types of vehicles must adhere to the traffic safety laws of the country and drive with extra caution during adverse weather.

Dubai Police seized 24 cars and motorbikes yesterday in Al Ruwaayyah area as drivers were performing dangerous stunts

The 35 drivers of those vehicles were performing dangerous stunts during the recent rainy weather and severe penalties were issued against them.

Driving recklessly can also result in a penalty of a AED2000 fine, 23 black points and a 60-day vehicle impoundment

According to the provisions of the Decree no.(30) of 2023, the fine for releasing impounded vehicles is AED50,000.

“These were seized from motorists who defied traffic rules during the rainy weather, despite previous warnings,” said Maj Gen Saif Al Mazroui, director of Dubai Police’s traffic department.
