Dubai is always on top of things when it comes to safety. With the holiday (and celebration) season coming up, it is super important to stay safe and practice all safety protocols that are given by the government. Aaaand before the new year begins, there’s another safety update related to Dubai taxis.
As per RTA’s latest rules, two adults can now take in a third passenger during their commutes.
If you commute in taxis, you can now accompany your child (up to 14 years old) as a third passenger in the vehicle without using the seat next to the driver. The number of authorised passengers in the three-row family vehicle (Van) remains 4, as a maximum, until further notice. pic.twitter.com/sb1HFBzuYB

All passengers can travel together in Dubai taxis as long as the seat next to the driver is left empty. The new rules will apply to kids below the age of 14. The maximum number of passengers in a car still remains four.
