Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated annually on 2 October and is one of the three national holidays of India as well as marked as the International Day of Non-Violence!

Mahatma Gandhi was also paid tribute to at the Consulate General of India, Dubai

“It is time to usher in a new era of peace, trust and tolerance. On this International Day of Non-Violence – Gandhi’s birthday – let’s heed his message of peace, and commit to building a better future for all.”

This inspiring message was shared by United Nations secretary-general Antonio Guterres on the much-celebrated occasion.
