Customers in Dubai have been outraged about a new campaign promising AED1 BACK to customers for every minute that their food orders are late. Many have taken to social media to express concerns that the campaign will put pressure on Careem Captains and encourage them to drive unsafely.
& it’s worth noting that captains can’t even see the estimated delivery time. Phew!
This means that Careem Captains will not be incentivised to drive faster. In fact, they won’t even be able to see what time Careem promises to deliver your food and have been instructed to maintain their usual safety measures.
Have you ever been so sure of something, that you’d put money on it? Well Careem Food is SO sure that you can rely on them for ON POINT delivery ETAs (This means they have full confidence in delivering orders ON TIME (at the designated ETA, rather than excessively quick.)
We’re confident in our ability to deliver food to our customers super fast without compromising on the quality of our orders, thanks to Careem’s market-leading logistics infrastructure. So confident that we’re promising to reimburse our customers AED 1 dirham for every minute that their order is late for the duration of the campaign.
