The new decree amendments, issued by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, aim to promote responsible driving behaviours and enhance traffic safety.
1. Under the new regulations, individuals will face a fine of AED10,000 to release vehicles impounded for the following offences:
2. Driving a recreational motorcycle on paved roads will now result in a fine of AED50,000 to release impounded vehicles.
3. Participating in a road race without prior permission from the police will now result in a fine of AED100,000 to release impounded vehicles.
