Scams are becoming quite elaborate with professional-looking email newsletters and undetectable false links. While many scams are conducted online behind a screen, some people do it behind car windows!
Members of this gang would beg for money from their cars that had license plates from neighbouring countries. It has not been disclosed how they managed to obtain these license plates.

Dubai Police are warning the public not to engage with or donate to these scammers. They usually target people near mosques, clinics, hospitals, shops, and in the streets.

This scam is not new! Quite, the contrary. In May of this year, Lovin Dubai shared the story of a suspicious driver who was asking residents for money as he was driving by. The comments show that this scam has been happening across various neighbourhoods in the city but the police are clamping down on these illegal activities.
