The shelter’s kennels have reached maximum capacity, and their waiting list has soared to a staggering 142 dogs. In an effort to address this critical situation, K9 Friends is reaching out to the community, appealing for foster parents and adoptive families to step forward and make a difference in the lives of these deserving canines this summer.

The shelter has been a beacon of hope for countless dogs in need. The dedicated staff and volunteers have been working tirelessly to provide food, shelter, medical care, and love to abandoned and neglected dogs. However, the current influx of dogs has pushed the shelter to its limits, creating an urgent need for assistance and as peak summer heat looms, the situation is even more concerning.

The team is appealing to the community for support. They are requesting individuals and families to consider fostering or adopting a dog this summer. By opening their hearts and homes to these animals, people can help alleviate the burden on the shelter and provide temporary or permanent loving environments for the dogs in need.

For those unable to foster or adopt, there are still several ways to support K9 Friends in their mission. Sponsorships are always welcome and can help cover the costs of food, veterinary care, and essential supplies for the dogs in their care. Additionally, volunteering time and skills can make a significant difference in the day-to-day operations of the shelter.
